Terese Dana, a behavioral
specialist and social skills instructor has been
working with children in classrooms and private practice for the past 15
years. She also consults with school districts and families.
Ms. Dana currently supervises inclusion and peer modeling programs and
leads social skills activities. She works with parents, teachers and
students to find solutions to social, behavioral, academic and
organizational challenges.
Ms. Dana has appeared on National TV, in the New York Times and in The
Autism Sourcebook, Everything You Need to Know About Diagnosis,
Treatment, Coping and Healing
Through her company T.D. Social Skills, she creates specialized tools
for improving peer relationships. They include the video modeling
program,
Fitting In and Having Fun and the social skills
training program, Moving On to Middle School.
The File Factor Filing Away
Disappointment, her latest tool, helps children regulate the strong
emotions they may experience when dealing with disappointment.
Ms. Dana continues to develop resources for students with social,
emotional, and behavioral issues, including students with high
functioning autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
